13th Bn. King's Royal Rifle Corps

who died on
13th September 1918

Additional Information:
Son of William Partridge,
of Sarah Street, Portadown, Co. Armagh.

Lieut. S. T. Haney writes: I am deeply grieved to have to write and inform you of the death of your son in action. The company was attacking a strong German position, and your son was killed instantaneously while fighting in the front ranks, which had penetrated well into the German lines. I am sure that it will be a small consolation to you to know that your son did his duty nobly to the last. He was always regarded by the officers and men as one of the best.
