Son of John and Jane Watson,
of 20, New St., Lurgan, Co. Armagh.

Prior to his enlistment, Dynes had been employed as a linen weaver and had been a member of B Platoon, Lurgan, Ulster Volunteer Force. Dynes brother, Rifleman John Watson (9124) was killed in action 16th August 1917.
