Son of Alexander and Margaret Foster, of Market Street, Lurgan, Co. Armagh.
Prior to enlistment Frederick was employed
by Messrs Robert Watson and Sons as a clerk. He was a member of C Platoon, Lurgan, Ulster Volunteer Force
and Jubilee Total Abstinence L.O.L. 308. Frederick was awarded the Military Medal in 1916 for heroic conduct.
